I thought my strength was back enough to attempt my Tuesday group ride. We rode one of my favorites- “around the reservoir” including going out and back on the Casa Loma road. I rode on my back because it’s easier on my back and won’t cause my stenosis. I used electronic assistance as needed to continue. and I had plenty of battery to help me ride. A very pleasant ride on a beautiful late fall day.
After the ride, I suddenly fell off the bike. When I swung my leg over it on the frame tube, it was also temporarily fixed on one leg. Before I could lose it, I fell backwards, hitting my back (near the sacrum) and my head on the ground. Luckily my helmet saved me. So now I have a new helmet (it’s not a good idea to use it again after a big impact). Also back sores, which should go away in a day or two. It’s time to get right to work!
