Back on Track – BionicOldGuy

My training is back after recent issues like sciatica. I’m going to try to post more often now, I think I’ve just given up a little, maybe because I’m a little disappointed. I am doing a lot of PT, stretching and strengthening, for the muscles around the back and hips so there will be no more back pain. I’m back to exercising about two hours a day, including cycling, my strength training, and PT. So far, so good!

On Friday I rode my straight to the Coyote Creek trail but I rode my straight on the side trails instead of the paved trail. These are for light use, I think they are made more for horseback riding, but they are good for bikes as long as you have bigger tires. I can also stand up straight for long periods of time, which I find more fun than climbing.

Yesterday it was back to the recumbent for a trip up in the mountains to the southwest of the town. Going at a decent speed, about 18 mph (~30 kph) or so, with a little electric assistance, is fun.
